Last night we received the batch of Battle for the Sky albums.

We literally pulled everything out the bag getting them from JHB to Cape Town and wow, the second we opened the boxes everything was worth it.

The printing came out super quality.. thick, heavy cardboard.. crisp, clear printing with an awesome emboss on the cover all vacuum packed in tight plastic.

Major news and updates are coming very soon. Hang tight..

With everything finished and done and only the final product to wait for, MIS is taking a break from planning, launching and everything to do with the colossus that was Battle for the Sky. Thankfully the break coincides with the wildest part of the year! The festive season and New Years!

Rob is off to Mozambique to catch some good waves, drink some tasty foreign beer and succumb to malaria. Brent, niC and Swanny are off up the east coast to Stilbaai.

Scott is MIA. Although rumour has it he’ll be heading to Cape to Cuba (huh?). Kamil and Bryan Anthony will hopefully hit up Vortex.

Man In Suit

Kamil-ness and Scott headed into town today to get the final designs from Pete Lewis, an awesome guy, who has some rad credits behind his name. Afterwards the design was posted off to Sonopress and thankfully all we had to do was wait and pray the final product came out well.

The designs are based around a Digipack Boxset. Four flaps including the CD casing. Photographer Elise Wessels, who took the EP shot, took a lot of photos around the Greenpoint Stadium building site. The photos of the dead cranes looked amazing against the grey sky, but it was another unrelated photo that we decided on. It encompassed the full boxset and just set the tone perfectly for the theme and sound of the EP. Here’s hoping you guys dig it.

The crane ideas where turned around and used as the bases for our new band image and promo photos. Really really stoked with how they came out!

Sadly ManINsuiT will be taking a short break as Scott is off to hospital to have three Hernias fixed in one go.

Scott can look forward to days of pain and life without movement for awhile. His DVD player and PS2 will come in especially handy in the next weeks.
